So let's take this scenario: we have three shades controlled on channels one, two, and three respectively. I want them to operate in unison so I need to create a group on channel five.

Let's start with the first shade. Select the channel, in this case channel one, that currently operates the shade. To copy, use a paperclip or some other small item to press and hold the programming button on the back of the remote until the shade jogs.

Now select the group channel, in this case channel five. And to paste, hold the programming button on the back of the remote until the shade jogs again. Now both channels one and five operate my first shade.

Let's repeat that sequence on shade two. Start on the channel that currently operates the shade and copy. Select the group channel and paste. Now for shade three. Copy and paste.

Let's test our handiwork. Now you have individual control on channels one, two, and three and group control on channel five.
